The Odd Job 家务故事 | Parenting Paradox

Self-written Brief: A baby-added bonus campaign

Problem Statement
“My goal is to foster open dialogue on issues with declining fertility rate
with the end goal of getting people to think about family planning."

The Odd Job is a fresh idea that aims to change the perspective of what being a parent is all about and asks: "Is looking after your baby truly so tough?". This concept centres around the idea that taking care of a baby is like having an additional job that goes on all day and night. It explores the challenging parts, happy moments, and surprising things about being a parent, which emphasises that even though it's a different kind of job, it's also one of the most fulfilling achievements in life.

Our Mission

Parenting is challenging no matter the era. The responsibility of nurturing and guiding a new life is never an easy job. This forms the heart of our campaign: The Odd Job, which explores the parenting paradox. It reminds us that while parenting differs from a typical job, it remains one of life's most fulfilling achievements. Our mission is to bridge the gap, uniting parents and couples with respect and understanding.

Welcome to an out-of-this-world exhibition crafted especially for youths with curious minds. Step into The Odd Job and let's bust some myths about parenthood together. Join the adventure, where we can ponder about babies, make informed choices and build a family-friendly society. We all know parenting isn’t easy, but hey, neither is any job! It's a quirky job, sure, but also one of life's most rewarding achievements. Let's bridge gaps and unite with respect and understanding, when we navigate them together, hand in hand, we can feel less lonely in our journey.

To engage the audience, The Odd Job offers an interactive booth near the Exhibition where viewers can share the craziest 'odd job' they have done for their children, while also connecting with a supportive community.
